The Voices of Mile End’s Main: Saint-Laurent Boulevard from Mount Royal to Van Horne

(Walking tour, in French with interventions in English,
offered by the Friends of Saint-Laurent Boulevard and Mile End Memories**)

Meet municipal politicians and owners who contributed to the construction and transformation of the section of Saint-Laurent Boulevard that was part of the independent municipality of Saint-Louis at the turn of the 20th century. You will also have the opportunity to hear the stories of builders, shopkeepers and residents representing several cultural communities who worked and lived on Mile End’s Main over time.

Date and time: Sunday 21 June 2009, 2:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.

Starting point: Southwest corner of Saint-Laurent Boulevard and Mont-Royal Avenue (metro Mont-Royal, buses 11, 97, 55)

End point: Corner of Saint-Laurent Boulevard and Van Horne Avenue (bus 55, metro Rosemont)

Cost: $12 ($10 for members of Friends of Saint-Laurent Boulevard)
