Talks at the Mordecai-Richler Library – fall series
Series of free talks, one Sunday per month at 2 pm. Presentations in French, bilingual question period
- Sunday 30 September at 1 pm, as part of the Journées de la culture: Historic and Literary Tour of Mile End followed by a discussion with Myriam Beaudoin, Saleema Nawaz, Léa Arthemise, Pierre Anctil, and Chantal Ringuet
- Sunday 14 October: Researching and Writing Up Your Family History. Presentation by Tracey Arial, Janice Hamilton, and Sandra McHugh of Genealogy Ensemble
- November: no lecture, but we’re celebrating our 15th anniversary
- Sunday 2 December: Saint-Georges : une « paroisse ouvrière modèle » disparue. Talk by Yves Desjardins
Walking Tours 2018
Mile End Memories is offering nine walking tours in the neighbourhood this year, on a few Sunday afternoons at 2 pm, between 3 June and 30 September. See this page for the list of tours and their description.

- Sunday 18 February: La scène culturelle et musicale indépendante du Mile End pendant les années 1990. Talk by Louis Rastelli, Archive Montréal
- Sunday 25 March: « Made in Mile End », la nouvelle génération des ateliers de confection du quartier. Round table with fashion artisans and entrepreneurs
- Sunday 15 April: Un moment dans l’histoire du quartier : le Mile End grec. Round table with Immigrec
