Both created thanks to community mobilization, the Champ des Possibles and the Parc des Gorilles are green spaces occupying former railway wastelands. They are connected by the Parc linéaire du Réseau-Vert, an unfinished project inaugurated in 1994. During this walk, led by members of The Main and Mile End Memories and AmiEs du Parc des Gorilles, you will discover the fascinating history of these places, from the era of stone quarries to the renaturalization of what was then considered vacant land destined for “redevelopment.”
The approximately three-hour tour will begin at the entrance to Allée Saint-Viateur and Avenue de Gaspé at Champ des Possibles, and end at Parc des Gorilles at the intersection of Saint-Zotique and Esplanade. Activity organized jointly by Les Amis du Champ des Possibles, Les AmiEs du Parc des Gorilles and The Main and Mile End Memories.
