1. LECTURE<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Mile End Library: A Successful Transformation of a\u00a0Heritage\u00a0Church
\nJean-Paul Simard, horticulture and heritage expert<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Constructed in 1904, this building was the home of the\u00a0Ascension\u00a0Church\u00a0for almost nine decades. In 1993, it was transformed into a branch of Montreal Municipal Library in a manner that respects its heritage values, and it continues to serve the community to this day.<\/p>\n

\nMile End Library,\u00a05434 Park Avenue, just south of\u00a0Saint-Viateur Street\u00a0(bus 80)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

2. MILE END MEMORIES FOUNDATION GENERAL ASSEMBLY<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mile End Memories** <\/em>has organized about ten activities per year since 2003. This Foundation General Assembly will include a presentation on the activities of the last seven years, the action plan for 2010 and the election of board members. Everybody is welcome!<\/p>\n
