The largest Jewish neighbourhood in Montreal before World War II, it changed from the 1940s onward as various Hassidic Jewish communities moved into the area, replacing most of their more secular predecessors. But the neighbourhood\u2019s Jewish community is more diverse than it seems. The tour takes place at the start of the holiday of Sukkot, providing an opportunity to learn how certain Jewish customs and traditions are observed in Montreal.<\/p>\n<p>Walk led by Joshua Wolfe, Mile End Memories<\/p>\n<p>The English tour will be held on Sunday, Oct. 13 starting at 2:30 p.m. [French at 2 pm]<br \/>\nStarting point: In front of 5039 Saint-Dominique H2T 1V1<br \/>\n(between Laurier Ave. and Saint-Joseph Blvd).<br \/>\nDuration: Approx. 2.5 hours<\/p>\n<p>No registration is required.
