Fairmount Court (Le Ch\u00e2telet), en 1912 [Collection de la coop\u00e9rative d’habitation Le Ch\u00e2telet]<\/p><\/div>On Park Avenue, just north of Fairmount, there is a rare example still standing of a Belle \u00c9poque<\/em> mansion \u2013 from the time when the avenue was a prestigious residential address. The house and workshop of architect Joseph Perrault, built at the beginning of the 20th century, were later transformed into apartments. However, the building suffered from long years of neglect, until finally its tenants mobilized in 1978 to transform the building into a housing cooperative.<\/p>\n The speaker, Pierre-Alain Cotnoir<\/strong>, has long been a member of the Coop\u00e9rative Le Ch\u00e2telet.
