We will explore the urban, cultural and social development and the architecture and conservation of the dense vernacular landscape of the former municipality of C\u00f4te Saint-Louis. Among the highlights of this tour are some village houses near Des Carri\u00e8res Street, several types of rowhouses dating to the turn of the 20<sup>th<\/sup> century, walk-ups of the 1920s and 1930s on Saint-Joseph Boulevard and De Mentana Street, modern apartment towers around the Laurier m\u00e9tro, sites of future housing developments, as well as religious ensembles and parks. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Dates and times:<br \/>\n<\/em><strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Saturday<\/span> 20 August 2011, 2:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m. (in <span style=\"color: #993300;\">English<\/span>), and<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993300;\">Sunday<\/span> 21 August 2011, 2:00-4:30 p.m. (in <span style=\"color: #993300;\">French<\/span>), rain or shine<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Departure and end points:<br \/>\n<\/em><strong>Northeast corner of Mount Royal Avenue and Rivard Street (97 or 11 bus, m\u00e9tro Mont-Royal)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Cost: <\/em><strong>$12 per person<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Reservations: <\/em><strong>Not necessary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>* Mile End Memories<\/em><\/strong> is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the heritage, history and culture of the Mile End neighbourhood.
