Discover the history of the Champ des Possibles.

The site currently occupied by the Champ des Possibles has a rich and varied history. It is closely linked to that of the linear park across the C.P. railway tracks, the De Carrières multi-purpose trail. This trail was meant to be the first link in a green corridor, extending over 100 kilometres. Although the grand project did not come to fruition, several grassroots initiatives have been implemented on both sides of the tracks. This walking tour will provide an update on the ongoing transformations of the post-industrial brownfield sites along the railway corridor and discuss many of the challenges that remain.

Melanie Leavitt is a member of the Board of Directors of Mile End Memories.
