The group Mile End Memories** invites you to join us on a walk through the streets and lanes of Mile End. The tour will focus on rowhouses: the circumstances that influenced their design and construction, the changes they have undergone over the last century and the conservation challenges they raise today. We’ll also be exploring the neighbourhood’s other residential typologies: townhouses, apartment buildings, convents and converted industrial and commercial buildings.

Date and time: Saturday 12 September 2009, 2:00-4:30 p.m. (rain or shine)

Departure: Church of Saint-Enfant-Jésus, 5039 Saint-Dominique Street (between Saint-Joseph and Laurier, métro Laurier, buses 51, 55)
Cost: $12 / person

Information (no reservations required): 514-849-9543
