Susan Bronson, architect and historian
Discover the rich history of Western Mile End (between Hutchison Street and Saint-Laurent Boulevard), including the 19th-century agricultural and industrial exhibition grounds and early 20th-century rowhousing, mixed-use buildings and places or worship, as well as the many personalities and cultural communities who helped to shape this unique urban vernacular landscape over time.
Susan Bronson is an architect specialising in heritage presentation and conservation. A founding member of Mile End Memories, she is particularly interested in the vernacular architectural heritage and in Montreal urban landscapes. She has lived in the Mile End district for more than 30 years, and has undertaken advanced research on the history and heritage of this area.
