Church, synagogue, community centre or concert hall? The building at Fairmount and Hutchison is one of several in Mile End that have housed a succession of different communities over the years. This tour will explore both the interior and exterior, to discover how the various layers of its transformation are still visible, and how it has been used for cultural activities of all kinds; we’ll cover architectural history and also present an overview of the Montreal history of the three major cultural groups that have used the building.

The visit will be co-hosted by representatives of the Ukrainian National Federation.
